Communication Towers

As part of its portfolio of products and services within Iraq, IPNET has experience in the provision and commissioning of guyed and un-guyed communication towers.

While standard towers are typically used, based on the link-budget between sites, IPNET has and can deliver bespoke designs for client sites. Recently, for example, our team provided a fly-away 21m hand-winched design to negate the need for any working at height on a client premises.

Our typical towers range from between 18m and 30m, but we have commissioned a 40m tower in the past. Whatever the tower requirements, IPNET can provide a solution.

Mobile/Semi-Mobile Towers

In recent years, the issues of working at height and the ease of equipment maintenance on towers has become more important. IPNET has worked with a number of tower manufacturers to produce telescopic and folding towers to negate the need to work at height, instead making changes at ground level using telescopic or folding towers. Our teams can also perform remote control antenna alignment using AZ-EL control.

Where rapid deployment of towers is required, truck-mounted towers can be provided. These are fabricated by a large Iraqi tower company to very high standards. While other tower manufacturers are used, the addition of a local tower fabricator has greatly decreased the delivery times associated with bespoke tower designs for clients.

Lattice Towers (Guyed and Unguyed)

Lattice towers remain the default type of tower for most clients. These are typically semi-permanent towers, but can be made more permanent with embedded foundations, or more mobile with guy wires.

Lattice towers can be used for radio links (point-to-point, Wi-Fi, or microwave), lighting, or for camera observation. These towers are cost effective and are simple constructions used regularly in IPNET's projects.

Tower Ancillaries

Tower ancillaries include AZ-EL mounts and controllers, radios/antennas, lighting and cameras. Whatever might be needed at height, IPNET can supply it.
